Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Eat28 collects, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
Information you provide
We collect account details such as email and display name, saved deals, deal submissions, photos, votes, reports, support messages, and settings you choose.
Location
With permission, Eat28 uses device or approximate location to show nearby deals. You can deny or remove location permission in your browser and search by area instead.
Automatic information
We may receive basic device, browser, IP address, log, security, and usage information needed to operate, protect, and improve Eat28.
How information is used
We use information to authenticate accounts, personalize nearby results, display community contributions, prevent fraud and spam, moderate content, troubleshoot problems, and communicate service-related updates.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. Information may be handled by service providers that host or support Eat28, disclosed when legally required, or transferred as part of a business transaction. Public submissions may display deal content without displaying your private account details.
Retention and security
We retain information while needed for the service, safety, legal obligations, and dispute resolution. We use reasonable safeguards, but no online system is completely secure.
Your choices
You can change saved deals, notifications, appearance, and location permissions. You can permanently delete your account in Settings; personal records are deleted and retained community contributions are anonymized.
Photos and device permissions
Eat28 accesses your camera or photo library only after you choose Take Photo or Choose Photo. Uploaded deal photos are used for the submission, safety screening, moderation, and display.
Community safety
Deal text, photos, and comments may be automatically screened and reviewed by administrators to prevent abusive, illegal, deceptive, sexual, hateful, threatening, or spam content. Reports, votes, and user blocks help protect the community.
Analytics
Eat28 measures high-level product usage and performance. Analytics routes exclude query strings and authentication or password-reset tokens; only allowlisted campaign parameters may be used for attribution.
Children and changes
Eat28 is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy and will post the revised effective date here.
